Office Hour RulesÂ
During office hours, everyone MUST have their prepared answers ready, including both behavioral and case mock interviews.
Â
How to Prepare for a Case Mock:
For case mocks, you must write down your answers and share your screenâno freestyling. This allows our coaches to quickly assess your readiness.
Once youâve done a few written mocks and shown strong performance, you may do a freestyle (cold turkey) mock, where youâll answer a random case live in 30 minutes.
â¶ïž Follow this step-by-step guide:
5.4 â How to Prepare for Google/Meta Case Interviews and Case Interviews in General
Â
How to Prepare for a Behavioral Mock:
Write down your answers (or key points), time yourself, and aim to keep each response under 2 minutes (max 3). If itâs too long, our coaches will help you trim it.
â Before the mock, tell us how long it took youâthis shows your self-awareness and preparation.
đŻ Make sure to study Module 2 Behavioral Interview Framework before attending a mock session:
Module 2: Behavioral Interview Framework
Sr. PM and Directors must watch Module 2.14â Sr. PM Behavioral Interview
Requirements Before or After Your Mock Interviews:
If you attend office hours to prep for a real interview, you must contribute your interview questions to our shared Alumni Interview Database. This helps everyone grow.
If you canât contribute, let our team know why.

What Type of Questions You Should and Shouldnât Ask During Office Hours
â What You SHOULD Ask:
- Portfolio-related questions
- Any questions related to Sunday Group Training
- Job-hunting strategy questions whenever you are stuck
- Networking script review or related questions
- PM Mock interviews (both case and behavioral questions)
- Have our coaches predict the type of interview questions. However, study all prep materials in Modules 2.1â2.12 ahead of time, as many answers are already covered there.
- AI Product Management Questions: If you already have AI experience or are enrolled in the AI PM Bootcamp, you are welcome to ask AI PM questions. HOWEVER, do not ask questions like:
"What AI model should I use for my home renovation AI product?"Â â This will only be answered after our tech advisor evaluates your AI product.
Â
đ« What You SHOULDNâT Ask:
-
Technical AI Questions
If you're in the AI PM Bootcamp, direct technical AI questions to Nicolas and Austinâs AI PM Bootcamp Office Hoursânot PMA office hours. AI coaches are only available to AI PM Bootcamp students, not general PMA students. -
1:1 Resume Review
This is handled by resume coaches during your dedicated 1:1 session. In office hours, we can give a quick 30-second scanâno more. -
Math Questions
Not covered in office hours. -
The SAME Questions Youâve Already Mocked With Other Coaches
-
All coaches are trained under the same framework to ensure consistent guidance.
-
You may not bring the same question to multiple coaches just to get different opinions.
-
-
Showing Up Without Progress or Independent Work
-
After receiving feedback, youâre expected to take action.
-
If youâre making minimal progress (1% or less) after repeated feedback, coaches may end the mock to prioritize students who are ready.
-
-
Asking Coaches to Complete Take-Home Assignments for You
We can review your answers, but we will not do your homework. -
Asking to Be Spoon-Fed Answers
đ« Donât do this:-
Week 1: âHow do I answer âWhy Capital One?ââ â We teach you the strategy.
-
Week 2: âHow do I answer âWhy American Express?ââ â Youâre expected to apply the same strategy yourself.
đ Learn the framework onceâdonât ask the same question with a different company name.

Who can attend the weekly mock interview office hours with @Shuya Zong:
PMA (job hunting program) students who have hands-on AI PM experience and students who signed up for both AI PM Bootcamp and PMA job hunting program.
IMPORTANT RULE. To attend her office hours, you must have built hands-on AI product before. As we can't fabricate stories that DOEN'T EXIST. As it happened to me last year, I had a student who came to my office hours asking me to create stories for him, in fact, he didn't do the work! If you watch last year's recordings, you know who that is! It made me very uncomfortable and my coaches also complained to me about that student.
Therefore, if you don't have hands-on AI PM experience, we can't create stories for you. Our coaches will refuse to fabricate stories for you. For example, "tell me a time you lead a team to launch your AI product from 0 to 1", if you didn't lead a team, we can't make up a story for you.
Now, let me define hands-on. It means you actually developed and launched AI product with a team of engineers, NOT just vibe code yourself. Because you can vibe code a product in an hour! One hour of vibe coding is not considered as true hand-on experience to interviewers.
Another interview trends, our AI PM students are getting vibe coding interview questions. For example, currently we have students interviewing for AI PM role for Meta and OpenAI (Yes, you hear me right, OpenAI), they are asking vibe coding questions.
